Travis Kelce‘s Super Bowl involvement is meteoric. It’s hard to remember a time he wasn’t playing in America’s biggest sporting event. The tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs—and partner to billionaire Taylor Swift—is one of the most accomplished football players of his generation and is easily on track to become an NFL legend. Coming into Super Bowl LIX, he could have broken one of his own records, but the Philadelphia Eagles clinched the win with a score of 40-22.
Here’s how many Super Bowls Kelce has played in and how many times he’s brought his team to victory at the big game.

Currently, Kelce holds the NFL record for most consecutive seasons and most seasons overall simultaneously. He also has the record for most receiving yards by a tight end in a single season. In 2022, he became the fifth person ever to hit 10,000 receiving yards, and he did it faster than any player in history. And, in 2023, he beat Jerry Rice’s record for career playoff receptions.
Kelce started his athletic career in college football with the University of Cincinnati Bearcats; in 2013, he was named Tight End of the Year. It was that same year he was picked up in the NFL third-round draft pick and joined the Kanas City Chiefs. Kelce has been there ever since, playing for the Chiefs for 12 seasons, for over a decade.

Kelce has won three Super Bowls with the Kanas City Chiefs. Impressively, 2025 marked the third consecutive season the Chiefs appeared in the Super Bowl—and for the fifth time in the last six years.
Kelce’s first win was in 2020 at Super Bowl LIV against the San Francisco 49ers. In that game, he caught six passes and had an epic receiving touchdown.
The second win was in 2023 at Super Bowl LVII against the Philadelphia Eagles. Interestingly, Kelce also caught six passes in this game, just like the first Super Bowl win.
The third win was the following year, in 2024, at Super Bowl LVIII against the New England Patriots. It was the second Super Bowl ever to go into overtime, and the Chiefs beat the Patriots 25 to 22.
The 2025 Super Bowl is the second time in just two years the Chiefs have faced off against the Eagles. If the Chiefs won, Kelce would have nabbed four Super Bowls under his belt—three in a row. Overall, for the Chiefs, that would have culminated in a total of five. However, that wasn’t in the cards.
