Meet the Cast of ‘Survivor’ Season 48

Survivor is back with its 48th season and CBS just revealed the 18 new castaways vying for the title of Sole Survivor and the million-dollar prize.

Hosted by Jeff Probst, the long-running, Emmy-winning series kicks off on Wednesday, February 26 with a two-hour episode. Every episode following will shift to 90 minutes long.

The new crop of players includes a firefighter, a flight attendant, a surgeon, a stunt performer, an attorney, a pizzeria manager and more from all over the United States and Canada.

Survivor first premiered back in 2000, and for nearly 25 years has taken a group of individuals and dropped them in a remote location – Fiji, specifically, for the most recent 15 seasons – to fend for themselves and compete to stay in the game. “The participants will be divided into three tribes of six and face a season to remember from the moment they step on the beach,” the CBS press release reads. “Even the strongest competitors will be tested and forced to dig deep mentally and physically to ensure their torch stays lit.”

Rachel LaMont was crowned the winner of season 47, which wrapped up airing in December, after she defeated Sam Phalen and Sue Smey in a 7–1–0 vote.

Survivor 48 premieres on CBS Wednesday, February 26 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. The show is also available to stream on Paramount+.
