After some speculation that head coach Chip Kelly’s job is in jeopardy, it looks like he will return to the Philadelphia Eagles in 2016 after-all.
NFL insider Peter King was on The Dan Patrick Show Monday morning and discussed the rumors of Kelly. King said he believes that Kelly will remain in the NFL and will be with the Eagles next season.
On Monday, there were rumors that Kelly met with officials for interest USC job but the school made the hiring of Clay Helton official. There’s also speculation that Kelly could end up in Tennessee and reunited with quarterback Marcus Mariota.
The Eagles were 10-6 under Kelly in each of his first two seasons since arriving in 2013, but this season they sit at 4-7 and outside of the playoff race.
