Seeing that the GT-R is already fast enough for most, it should come as no surprise that the Japanese auto maker rarely upgrades the performance output for special editions of their flagship model. And while it may not be faster that the premium model, the 2016 Nissan GT-R 45th Anniversary Gold Edition is certainly more stunning.
As you probably already guessed from the name, this 2-door is draped in a special “Silica Brass” gold color that will help set your GT-R apart from the crowd. It’s still sporting the same 550 horsepower 3.8-liter twin-turbo V6 engine, and still pumps that power through an AWD drivetrain. The model is limited to just 30 units here in America, all of which will feature a gold-tone VIN plate along with a special commemorative plaque inside the car – just so all of your passengers know, you’re special. The new special edition model starts at $103,000.
