In this trailer for the upcoming “Drift Challenge,” the company shows off the world’s first self-drifting vehicle as it takes on an actual human driver. And not just any human driver, a drift champion. It’s the ultimate contest of man vs machine. Now before you get too riled up about Bimmer taking away the fun of driving, it’s important to note that this video was released to showcase the computer’s ability to not only recognize changing traction conditions, but also be able to adapt to them – not to take away the fun of actually drifting.
