Chevrolet has unveiled the 2016 Corvette Z06 C7.R special edition, inspired by the C7.R race car.
It will be offered in both a coupe and convertible for the 3LZ trim, except with only 500 in production. All 500 will be outfitted with the Z07 Performance Package, which includes Brembo carbon ceramic brakes, Michelin PS Cup 2 tires and a serialized VIN. The car comes in a new Corvette Racing Yellow or a black combined with the C7.R Edition graphics package. On its exterior, the car boasts yellow brake calipers behind black wheels with accent strips, in addition to a carbon fiber ground effects package, a visible carbon hood and Spectra gray metallic hood detailing. Jet black leather and suede accents adorn its interior, with yellow stitching to match. The car will go on sale later this year.
