Mercedes presents their new AMG-prepped version of the GLC luxury SUV. The mid-size SUV boasts 362 horsepower thanks to a 3.0-liter twin turbo V6 engine that propels you from 0 to 60 miles per hour in 4.8 seconds before topping out at 155 mph. The twin turbo V6 is then paired with Mercedes’ 9G-TRONIC nine-speed automatic transmission with shortened shift times and five DYNAMIC SELECT modes such as Eco, Comfort, Sport, Sport Plus and Individual, and the AMG performance 4MATIC all-wheel drive configured with a rear bias.
The GLC also boasts a standard AIR BODY CONTROL air suspension with a specially tuned version of their Adaptive Damping system ADS PLUS that features three stages: Comfort, Sport and Sport Plus.
As far as the exterior goes, the GLC notes a discreet body kit with a re-profiled front bumper featuring larger vents, side skirts, a rear diffuser and a diamond grille. In addition, a four-pipe exhaust is present as well as 19-inch alloy wheels.
The interior in turn showcases a leather and micro suede steering wheel, sport seats and a revised instrument panel.
After being officially unveiled during next week’s New York Auto Show, look for the Mercedes-AMG GLC 43 4MATIC to arrive on lots by the end of the year.
