I’ve never been a clogs guy. Maybe it’s the embarrassment of being caught in public with blob-like Crocs, but I usually leave the genre of shoe to more daring wearers. But a new out-of-left-field is making me reconsider my position: Tied to Fashion Month (New York Fashion Week starts Thursday), the heritage boots brand Blundstone is debuting a clog with unmistakable style points. And it’s doing so with an unusual partner.
Blundstone collaborated with high-fashion label Comme des Garçons Homme (CDGH) to create the #2453 Clog. It’s a marriage between functionality and forward-thinking design we didn’t know we needed. The clog employs the brand’s Vibram sole for enhanced grip and slip resistance. And I can’t help but think it would be the perfect shoe for Carmy in Season 4 of The Bear.
No, he’s not a high-fashion guy, but he’s been rocking Birkenstock Tokio—a backstrap clog that features a slip-resistant TPU outsole outfitted for professional environments—and this feels like an elevated evolution that might suit his own character development.

The straightforward functionality and classic shapes of Blundstone shoes is evident here, inspired by the brand’s All-Terrain Series. But the influence of Comme des Garçons Homme is even more welcome, and obvious: The Japanese design house based in Paris brings a streamlined elegance and ever-so-slight futuristic vibe to the #2453 Clog, which is black and dotted with clever touches including a white-and-blue striped lining that’s used throughout CDGH’s Spring/Summer 2025 collection, and an embossed CDGH logo on the waterproof leather upper.
Bonus: The clog is better for the environment than others, thanks to its Cosmo Recycled material.
